POLE ADDICT Nini successfully completed her charity trek to Kilimanjaro earlier this year, and we're delighted to help support her in her next quest - a trek to Base Camp Everest!!!  Worth mentioning - Nini even saves up herself to cover the cost of her trip, so all money donated will go directly to the VSO Education Nepal project*

24/09/07, POLE ADDICTs worked in conjunction with the International Workshop Festival to continue pushing pole’s traditional boundaries, and was delighted to pursue our pole “act” vision with the workshop “ POLE DANCING – in character, costume and heels” held at The English Touring Theatre, SE1.  Congrats & good luck to all who came along!

13/09/07 Spectacular Spectacular! Raises £900 for Breast Cancer Care
Energie ladies fitness on Walton High Street raised a staggering £900 for their chosen charity Breast Cancer Care, by holding a Wild West Burlesque evening at Vine, also on the High Street – in conjunction with POLE ADDICTs.

The event hosted by the unique ladies only fitness club was a very classy ticket only affair, evocative of the days of the Moulin Rouge. With a professional burlesque dancer and both professional and members of énergie ladies fitness pole dancing, entertaining the audience in the name of charity, the event was a show stopping success.

Vine was transformed into a stunning spectacle with pink balloons, feather boas and fans adorning the walls and guests were greeted with a free cocktail, courtesy of Vine. The show was opened by Raquel Roberts of Pole Addicts looking amazing in a red satin basque and performing a stunning acrobatic visual display to a Moulin Rouge medley.

As of the 17th September énergie ladies fitness will be teaching members burlesque - the art of tease, each Monday evening at 8.30pm.  As a preview to this, the evening featured sultry performances from Emily Crick of Teasemaids, whilst the audience watched mesmerised.

The women took the opportunity to fulfil their dreams looking beautiful in sexy cowgirls and colourful burlesque ensembles, whilst the men fulfilled their school boy fantasies arriving dressed as cowboys.  There was even a sheriff on hand to keep order throughout the night.

All guests were given the chance to perform and rewarded with a certificate and a goody bag for their efforts.  Retailers from The Heart donated items for the bags which included products and money off vouchers from Rush, Clinique mascara, lipsticks and glosses and chocolates from Desire at Debenhams, as well as some lovely items from Space NK.

Raffle tickets at 50p each raised over £100, with the lucky winners taking home two gym memberships donated by énergie ladies fitness, dinner for two at Vine, a pole party from Pole Addicts, champagne and a book from Carluccios at The Heart.

Kim Kellas, manager of énergie ladies fitness told us, ‘It was a fabulous night every had a great time and I was astounded at how generous people were, even the bar staff from Vine worked for free that night.  We had guests offering to donate money to give their friends the incentive to perform and sold almost 500 raffle tickets! The students from our pole dancing lessons all looked amazing and performed with such confidence’.

An enthusiastic runner, Kim also announced on the evening that the running club would be enlisting runners to take part in various women only races for Breast Cancer Care in the coming months and was astonished by the reaction from the men. ‘I had several men approach me after I announced the races asking me why they couldn’t take part. I told them they are perfectly welcome to help us raise money in other ways and come along and cheer us on’.
